Millbrook picked up 11.2 inches of snow between Sunday evening and dawn Monday, the largest single storm here since February 2022. Schools are closed, town offices open at noon, and the overnight parking ban stays in effect until 6 p.m.
Public Works ran eleven trucks in two 14-hour shifts. Director Sam Reyes-Whitlock said every numbered route was passable by 5 a.m. and that crews are now on their second pass, widening intersections and cutting back the windrows left across driveways.

Power and roads
About 340 homes lost power in the Hollow Ridge area shortly after midnight when a limb came down on Orchard Road. Service was restored to all but a dozen by 4 a.m. Route 9 was reduced to one lane near the fairgrounds for about two hours after a jackknifed box truck; no one was hurt.
The snow was not the problem. The problem is that it came in at two inches an hour with the wind behind it, so we were plowing the same mile four times.

The Recreation Department opened Depot Hill at 9 a.m. and will keep it open until dusk. The lower field at Riverside is closed — the drainage work from the fall has left it uneven under the snow.
